Some reunions just feel like home.
We were so excited to welcome back former Rotary Youth Exchange student Joas Victor Lemos to Perrysburg. Joas was part of the Rotary Youth Exchage exchange program during the 2014–2015 Rotary year, and it’s incredible to see where life has taken him since.
Now a veterinarian specializing in cows, Joas has turned his passion into a career that’s making a real impact. And true to form, his love for country music is still going strong. His visit to Perrysburg was just one stop on a very fitting journey through the USA, with Nashville, the country music capital of the world, and Texas next on his travel list.
During his time back, Joas reconnected with his host families, Rotarian Janel Haas and Chris Haas and Mrs. Gretchen Downs, sharing stories, laughter, and memories that prove some bonds never fade.
