Last week we wrapped up our Rotary Reconnect Week with special guest speaker Senator Theresa Gavarone!
Senator Gavarone educated our group about H2Ohio (a targeted effort to reduce agricultural phosphorus runoff to prevent algal blooms), Senate Joint Resolution 2 (CA: Issue bonds to fund clean water improvements), Ohio Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Grant Program, and SR 41 (Urge Michigan Governor/DNR keep Enbridge Line 5 operating).
Rotary is incredibly grateful for Senator Gavarone’s efforts to help clean up/maintain our waterways, soil/water conservation, and her efforts to establish long term funding to keep water quality projects going.
Supporting the environment is Rotary’s newest area of focus and we are excited to have strong leadership in our District dedicated and focused on improving our community and natural resources.
