Calling all volunteers!!!  The Girls on the Run NW Ohio has an awesome volunteer opportunity coming up for their 5k on May 14th!!
 
The Flower Power 5k will be held at The Shops at Fallen Timbers in Maumee.  The start times vary depending on which volunteer opportunity you are interested in.  A full list is detailed below.

The Perrysburg Rotary Club is a proud supporter of the Girls on the Run NW Ohio program.  We recently funded a grant request to help 25 young ladies with scholarships during the next school year.
 

Setup Crew

Check-In: 7:00AM

Help set-up the general event area and course including: event signage, flags, fencing, tables, activity booths, etc. This role should conclude by 8:00 am.

Volunteer Headquarters

Check-in: 7:00 AM

Help check-in volunteers onsite and direct them to the location of their volunteer role. Pass out maps, t-shirts and monitor volunteer food and refreshments.

Merchandise Sales

Check-In: 7:00 AM

Process transactions and help customers find their newest GOTR gear at our Merchandise Tent. Quick training will be provided onsite. 

Packet Pickup/Registration

Check-In: 7:00 AM

Process registrations and help distribute packets to registered runners.

Little Star Run 

Check-in: 7:30 AM

Direct and cheer on our Little Star participants (2nd grade and under) and then pass out medals for finishing!

Course Marshal

Check-In: 8:00 AM

Direct participants along the 5k course and cheer them on as they walk/jog/run. Course marshals will be placed in pairs at various locations along the 5k course. If you would like to request a specific partner, please email Chrystie Paris.

Start/Finish Line Marshal

Check-In: 8:00 AM

Maintain crowd control at the start/finish line. Cheer on runners starting and finishing the 5k.

Host Water Stop 1, 2 or 3 (Groups Only)*

Check-In: 8:00 AM

Hand out cups of water and cheer on participants. This opportunity is for groups with 10 or more participants.

Post-Run Food & Refreshments (Groups Only)*

Check-In 7:00 AM

Distribute water and food from station to participants after the event. Also help with finish line and medal distribution. This opportunity is for groups with 12 or more people.

Teardown Crew

Check-In: 9:00 AM

Help tear down the general event area and load supplies into vehicles to be transported to storage. Some volunteers will be needed to sweep the course after the last runner passes. *Volunteers who are running the 5k can help with tear-down after they finish.

Place Me Anywhere!

This category is for volunteers who are flexible in their role assignment. Volunteers who select this option will be placed in one of the previously listed roles where help is needed. You will be notified one week prior to the 5k about your role assignment.
